Dennis,
You spoke at my school (Fitzgerald High School) today and I greatly appreciate it. Alot of the kids in my class acted like fools but I thought what you did was very courageous, brave and made me feel proud to have you come to our school. I told my friend, who I think had the symptoms of being suicidal, about your prevention tips and the number to call to get help and she did. I just want to thank you SOOO much. If you might not have come to Fitz, my friend could possibly have killed themselves.
THANK YOU!!!!!

You spoke at my school today. You said you didn't care what everyone got off from it but as long as you touched one person thats all that mattered. I just wanted to let you know that you touched me. And you inspired me to get some help. You see I've been feeling really low lately, not wanting to do anything, getting extremely bad mad swings, feeling isolated and not wanting to talk to anyone. I was really scared to talk to anyone about it and you gave me the strength to do so. I just want thank you. If it wasn't for your presentation I probably would of ended up commiting suicide.
Thank You!!!

Dear Dennis,
Yesterday you spoke at Lakeview High School. My daughter interviewed you for the paper. She came home and told me all about your presentation. It sounded wonderful, I wish I had been able to see it. I hope this helps some of the kids who feel lost and troubled. My kids lost a friend to suicide, that was very hard for them to understand. My friend lost 2 nephews and a sister to suicide a few years ago, that was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through with my friend. Thank You for all the hard work you do.

Hey Dennis,
Today you talked to my school (Lakeview High) and I would like to say Thank You! Talking to my school is hard enough, and I feel you did a wonderful job. I am writing a story for the news paper, and I interviewed you today. We finally had a speaker that could relate to us through music.
I knew someone that killed himself about four years now, and going through it was not easy, but I did find away to deal with it, and thats writing music.
The lyrics you write and very good, and get the message across very well. Thank You so much again for speaking to my school!
We will send you a paper when it comes out. Thank You!

Hi Dennis
I have the utmost respect for what you have achieved.
I was made aware of your cause following reading Jean & Beverley's book, Dying to Be Free. On both account, reading the book and being exposed to your cause; the exposure has been a great help to me.
I lost my brother to suicide on July 10th 2008.
Best Wishes
Nigel

Dennis thank you for donating your cd's to our first afsp downriver walk. I loved hearing your band at the kensington walk.
I was co-chair for the downriver walk along with the director of the Allen Park Community High School. This is a alternative school and we really didn't have any support from the rest of the school district. We could use your help in our schools, since suicide has been so prominate in this community. We would love you to speak or play, just let me know, I will make it work.
